Tom Osborne, Ph.D. (Claremont Graduate University), Chair and Professor, Dept. of History, Santa Ana College. I’m writing my third book, a college-level survey text that internationalizes the entire span of U.S. history. Also, in my professional life I serve on the Organization of American Historians’ national Committee on the Community Colleges. Regarding civic involvement, in addition to serving on the SLCA Board, I’m a member of the City of Laguna Beach’s Environmental Committee. I’ve lived with my wife Ginger in South Laguna since 1974. We raised two sons here: one is now an attorney and the other a business consultant. Both are staunch environmentalists like their parents.
